Haven's the closest thing to cisgender non-binary they've ever met, being genetically male, legally female, and lacking the hardware to make a compelling case for either. If they were able to do what they had a degree in, they'd be an elementary teacher, but after an argument with the board about their gender presentation, they've been banned from teaching in any district in the city. Instead, they've had a series of disposable jobs doing phone support, having most recently been fired by the cable company for taking more than three days of bereavement leave for a family funeral. They currently live in an unheated attic that's not up to code as a living space, with a very large, extremely destructive cat.
