Egg-free French Toast

  • Egg-free French Toast

Description

I was supposed to make fancy breakfast for people, but I can't eat eggs...

Ingredients

  • 1/4c milk
  • 3T aquafaba
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 1tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 4 slices bread
  • enough butter/lard/oil to grease a pan a couple times

Cooking Instructions

Mix the cornstarch into a little bit of milk, then mix the rest of the liquids in and add the cinnamon. Heat up a skillet over medium-high heat and grease the pan. Pour the goo into a plate and dip both sides of a slice of bread into it. Don’t let the bread sit! It’ll get soggy and you won’t be able to pick it up! Put the bread in the pan and wait about 2-3 minutes. It should be lightly browned when you flip it. If it’s not, wait longer on the second side and then flip it back for another minute. When it’s browned the way you like it, put it aside and repeat the sequence for the next slice of bread. When you run out of bread, find something to serve with that, because it’s done!
